Aviagen East Africa understands that keeping pathogens out of the food chain begins with the primary supplier. Rigorous biosecurity protocols are in place in our facilities to secure the supply of top-quality Ross breeding stock to our customers.

At the beginning of 2023, Aviagen East Africa delivered its first shipment of Ross Parent Stock to Biyinzika Poultry International in Uganda and Harsho Milling Company Limited in Tanzania.

Aviagen delivered the first PS chicks to both customers by truck, which significantly reduced the logistical times due to the birds coming from a local production facility rather than our European facilities. This plays a major role in achieving our sustainability goals and enhancing our welfare standards.
