Aviagen East Africa Delivers First Parent Stock Shipment

In recent months, Aviagen East Africa delivered its first shipment of Ross Parent Stock to Biyinzika Poultry International in Uganda and Harsho Milling Company Limited in Tanzania. These shipment were a big milestone for Aviagen East Africa.

Aviagen delivered the first PS chicks to both customers by truck, which significantly reduced the logistical times due to the birds coming from a local production facility rather than our European facilities. This plays a major role in achieving Aviagen’s sustainability goals and enhancing our welfare standards.

Both deliveries were a success and we look forward to seeing the results of each flock.

We would like to thank everyone who was involved, from the suppliers through to the construction staff who built the operation for us. A special thanks to our Aviagen East Africa employees who are looking after our birds on the farms, and caring for the day-old chicks in the hatchery.
